Fort Lauderdale - Commercial, Fabric Awnings
Inter Miami CF
Custom fabric shade across concourse, entry, and fan zones. Built for match-day crowds and South Florida sun.

A custom fabric awning adds shade, weather protection, and architectural character without the weight or cost of permanent roof construction. Walker designs fabric awnings for South Florida homes, restaurants, commercial properties, walkways, entrances, and outdoor gathering spaces.
Every structure is designed around the building, exposure, intended use, and local permitting requirements. Frames are fabricated at our Fort Lauderdale facility using durable materials, fully welded construction, protected finishes, and connections selected for Florida’s demanding coastal environment.
Since 1980, Walker Awning has managed the complete process—from consultation and engineering through fabrication and installation. The result is a tailored shade solution that looks appropriate for the property and is built for long-term use.
The cost depends on the awning’s size, frame design, fabric selection, mounting conditions, engineering requirements, and site access. After visiting the property and understanding how the space will be used, Walker provides a project-specific proposal rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all price.
Depending on the selected material, our fabrics carry prorated warranties of 5, 7, or 10 years. Lighter colors and properly maintained fabrics can often last beyond 10 years, even in South Florida sun. When replacement is eventually needed, the existing frame can usually be recovered with new fabric.
Walker awning frames are engineered for South Florida conditions and designed to remain permanently installed. Fabric wind ratings and storm procedures depend on the specific system, so we review those requirements during design and provide guidance for the selected fabric. Always follow official emergency instructions during severe weather.
Many permanently installed awnings require permitting, but the exact requirements depend on the property, attachment method, size, and local jurisdiction. Walker can coordinate the drawings, engineering, and permitting requirements applicable to the project.
The schedule depends on design complexity, engineering, permitting, material availability, and fabrication requirements. After the site visit and design approval, Walker can provide a clearer project timeline and coordinate fabrication and installation from its Fort Lauderdale facility.
