Four decades of building for South Florida
Peter Walker started the company after seeing too many awnings fail because of preventable shortcuts: undersized framing, weak connections, inadequate attachment, poor drainage, and materials that were not suited to the application.
Walker developed its reputation by reinforcing the places where structures commonly fail and by refusing to treat critical anchors, connections, welds, and fasteners as optional upgrades. That practical knowledge has been refined through decades of work on South Florida homes, storefronts, restaurants, schools, clubs, resorts, and commercial properties.
Today, Walker combines that field experience with architectural design, engineering coordination, local fabrication, permitting knowledge, and experienced installation crews. The result is not an off-the-shelf product. It is a shade structure designed around the project.
